How it works

GoFundYourself is a bulletin board and share toolkit — not a payment processor.

1. Founder creates a campaign

   Sign in, write your story, set an optional goal, and paste a Bitcoin address and/or Lightning address you control. We validate the format; we never take custody of keys or funds.

2. Public page + QR

   Your campaign lives at a clean URL with a scannable QR (BIP21 for on-chain, Lightning Address URI for LN). Supporters can copy the address or open their wallet.

3. Share everywhere

   Use the share kit: native share, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, email, copy-link, and downloadable QR. Social previews use Open Graph images so the campaign looks intentional in feeds.

4. Peer-to-peer payment

   Money moves wallet → wallet. Network fees may apply; our platform fee is always 0%.

5. Optional: tip the platform

   If the model is useful, voluntarily tip us so hosting stays free. Tips are never required to publish or contribute.
